Terms of Service:

DGM-Tech prides itself in customer service. Our service is designed to be as customer-oriented as possible, however, we do implement strict policies to make our service as fair as possible. Please read below.

 

Warranty:

DGM-Tech offers a 6 months up to 1 year (according to the type of repair) warranty on parts and labor, which is effective from the date of repair. There is no option to extend this, and the term is non-negotiable.

The warranty will not cover:

  • Customer negligence
  • Other different components failing after repair
  • Computer slows down.  (If we have optimised your computer (Software Repair)  to increase its speed and it slows down again within 6 months, we will make every effort to teach you how to keep it optimised using our select range of tools)
  • Viruses infections
  • Windows Software Issues. (If a different operating system issue occurs to what was repaired previously)
  • Any data that is not declared to us (for backup) will be deleted from your hard drive if reinstallation is necessary. (We are not responsible for any data deleted if you have not told us exactly what you need to be saved)
  • Requests, out with the original scope of the job.  (This will incur an additional fee)

Billing and Payments:

We operate a “No Fix No Fee” policy.

Payment of the standard fee for the service requested (£30.00 in the case of a Phone or Tablet Repair Service) is due if the repair is cancelled by the customer, for any reason, after collection of the device.

If you are not present at the agreed arrival time, DGM-Tech reserves the right to invoice you the amount of £30.00, however, we may waive this if you rearrange, although we will add a small charge of £10.00 for petrol.

The full amount for the work performed will be invoiced at the end of the activity. Delivery is made upon full payment of the invoice, except in specific cases agreed with the customer.

Our prices are non-negotiable and fully available on our website. However, we appreciate some jobs are of a complicated nature, and we will be happy to provide a quote over the phone.

Withholding payment or cancelling a payment will result in the reversal of the service offered and may result in court action via a Small Claims Court. This will be the last resort and will occur after repeated attempts to collect payment. The customer will also not be entitled to utilise the services of DGM-Tech in the future.

If you have been dissatisfied with our service in any way, we would advise you to speak to us first, so we can offer a resolution. 

If we have implemented a fix, and this hasn’t worked, we will not refund you if there is evidence you have attempted to fix this yourself or have hired another professional to fix this.

If a fault develops after we have confirmed a repair with you and given you back your computer/device, please contact us and we will try to repair this for you again as part of our warranty of repair.

 

Discounts and Offers:

Discounts and Offers can never be combined.

Discounts and Offers always relate only to the labor cost, unless otherwise specified.

Customers have the opportunity to choose which one to use according to their convenience.

If a Discount or an Offer is granted upon demonstration of a Document or a Discount Code, it is the customer's responsibility to show the required proof at the time of booking or in any case before issuing the invoice. These types of Discounts and Offers will never be applied automatically under any circumstances.

Any documents provided will be immediately deleted from our systems immediately after the ticket is closed.

 

 

Hours and Operation:

We only offer free pickup and drop service. Customers are not allowed to our laboratory (We are not insured for taking customers to our place)

DGM-Tech always offers a 1-hour window for pickup service and will make contact if we are unlikely to make it within the scheduled time. We cannot offer discounts if we are running late, as we may get delayed by unforeseen events along the way.

The same day service is not always guaranteed.

Our average repair time ranges from approximately 1 hour to 5 days. The repair times are relative to the level of difficulty of the repair and/or to the waiting for components necessary to complete the activity.

After-hours calls are not accepted under any circumstances. You may still text, email or book an appointment.

 

Uncollected Equipment:

Any device or component that will be impossible to deliver for any reason not dependent on DGM-Tech, will be disposed of according to the following timing:
We will try to contact you or resolve the issue for a period of 30 days, after which
  -   if the value of the property is less than £100, 30 days notice will be given.
  -   If the value is between £100 and £500, 3 (three) months' notice.
  -   If the device is valued over £500, then the notice will be 6 (six) months

 

Defamatory comments/reviews:

We would kindly ask, before leaving negative reviews that we are given the opportunity to resolve your dissatisfaction with our service. We reserve the right to report any reviews that are not linked to a verified customer, are false in nature, or contain inappropriate content.

Any misleading, false, or malicious comments left on review websites for DGM-Tech may result in Defamation of Character Proceedings via the Scottish Courts against the individual responsible. DGM-Tech will appoint Lawyers in this instance. However, we will attempt to resolve this with you beforehand.
